At no point in the recruitment process did I feel like they were interested in selling me why Ford is a great place to work. It seemed like a very antiquated, relatively conservative process. I did an extensive amount of research on the company and also reached out to someone I knew for more information. The recruiter seemed to just be going through the motions and only connected with me on something unrelated to the role. Compensation information was very defensive where I had to reveal my hand with no information shared from the recruiter. I was told in my screening that I potentially did not have the experience they were looking for; which is fine, but they moved me forward anyway. My interview outside of the recruiter went well but then it was complete silence for 3 weeks. I had to follow up with the recruiter, in which they had already known that I wasn’t moving forward… because of my experience. It really felt like a disregard for my time knowing that I wasn’t a viable candidate from the beginning and waiting on an answer for weeks they already knew.
