Started with usual stuff and then some programming questions. Interviewer first explained what Focal Systems does and the told me about how the interview process would go. Then the person about my background. Then some basic Java questions. After the asked me t write a program for a given problem.

Applied through job post and they were interested in interviewing me. We went through several phone calls (non-tech and tech). Then they gave me a take home assignment to work on for few days. This was during the busiest time of the school year. I had multiple assignments/labs and tests scheduled that week and the week after. But I decided to take this take-home thing the priority since I wanted to land a full time before graduating. I emailed them the completed assignment, and waited few days but received no reply. I sent them an email reminding them about the application status several times. No reply. Few weeks later they scheduled to visit my school for info session. Thought I'd show up and figure out what happened with my application. Because I had people ignore my resume multiple times but NEVER had them drop me cold after spending hours and hours through the process. I ended up having a pretty negative experience at the info session anyway. There was this one student who kept complimenting/butter talking the company to get attention but didn't seem like they had the right skillset from what I observed. But I am getting off topic. I honestly wouldn't want to work with them otherwise after going through this interview process. They showed absolutely no respect for the time I spent preparing for their take-home project. I hope this is a good warning even for those who did receive an offer.
