I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at FleishmanHillard in Aug 2021
Interview
The members of the team of M+M are super nice and great to speak with. The interviews were never nerve-wracking.
But HR leads on for months and will ghost candidates for weeks and even months. I’ve taken several tests for internships and fellowships, but was given 24 hours to complete an entire assessment that wasn’t looked at for weeks.
Being automatically placed as a Diversity Fellow that eventually canceled at the final round and never hearing back for 2 months sucked. Gotten several referrals but HR seemed behind. Fellowship and apprentice roles are placed on the backburner and be prepared to take a month or two to be hired or not. Really liked the company and its innovative ideas but the hiring process is extremely outdated, especially for this market.
My advice: You’re losing great candidates with your slow hiring process. Don’t place diversity fellows on the lowest priority when you brag about diversity. Be honest about the timeline and keep up with all candidates.
After the initial phone screening, I was given a timed written assessment with 5-7 written short-answer questions covering media, social, research, and proofreading. Upon successful review of the assessment, I moved on to the next stage; an in-person interview. Last, I had a virtual interview with a DE&I-specific team member. Overall, the process was standard and a bit slow. I did have to keep prompting the recruiter for updates.

Question 1
How do you view the importance of DE&I within public relations?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at FleishmanHillard in Oct 2023
Interview
I received my phone screening email, and then proceeded to get a writing assessment after that, and then was ghosted for over 2 weeks after submitting it, and never received an update until I emailed them 2 separate times for a follow-up response. Horrible etiquette, horrible communication, and a horrible way of treating their candidates. DO NOT APPLY TO THIS PROGRAM!
