I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fleetsmith (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2020
Interview
- Standard recruiter call followed by phone screen. Also a 30 min hiring manager call. (zoom)
Though the engineer who conducted the phone screen was professional, I could hardly understand the recruiter. Recruiters are generally your point of contact and help develop the first impression of the company, but seriously I felt like he couldn't give a proper description of the role/ company culture. At another point as well regarding scheduling, I felt like he was least helpful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Phone screen was 1 hr, very simple algorithm question to print multiplication table, I finished that in less 5 mins, then rest was rapid-fire, theory questions around all that you would have studied during your CS degree, I'm not sure how that will help in actual job, I got asked networking questions as well.
