FCS welcomes feedback from candidates and employees alike and we thank this candidate for their insight into the hiring process. Coordinating interviews and screenings is a top priority in the recruitment process, but it can be difficult to work with multiple schedules and time zones. Confirming a candidate’s availability before sending the meeting agenda/link is our standard practice, but we acknowledge there is always room for improvement in our processes given the growth FCS is experiencing.
Job titles can vary from firm to firm, but the posted job descriptions outline the skills and knowledge needed for each role. If a candidate wants to start a new career path, especially in a specialized industry such as ours, starting in a more junior role may be necessary to ensure proficiency prior to advancement. FCS posts salary ranges for every job posting on our website and has done so for several years, long before it was required by the State of California. Our salaries are reviewed and compared with other firms within our industry on an annual basis. The higher levels for any position require certain prior experience which is detailed during the recruitment process. As to be expected, there are times when a candidate’s salary desires may not match the available position and the candidate’s prior experience.
