I interviewed at Ethicon
Was a very good interview, very interactive. Everyone was very kind and knew some details about me that were brought up during the interview. Ended up not wanting the position but the company culture seemed strong.
- Tell me about a conflict with a coworker.

I interviewed at Ethicon
there were 3 rounds, one with the Human resources representative, then one with the team supervisor and one with the department manager. An extra interview was for me to meet with the team members
- The question was rather technical regarding a process and how to improve it

Interview process is longer than most companies. On boarding can be a little lengthy while also being pretty disorganized as well. Other than that great company to work for and would recommend.
- Explain a time you had to handling conflicting responsibilities at work.

Interviewed for multiple roles and you're graded on their STAR format (as of 2021), which means you can have great stories and experience, but if another candidate answers according to their rubric better than you do, tough luck. Took my same interview stories to DePuy Synthes and got in the first round. Later took those stories to Salesforce and got in first round.
- Typical behavioral questions like "tell us a time you overcame a challenge".

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ethicon
I would not recommend interviewing with Ethicon for this program. Unfortunately, I felt that my time was not valued. The interview process was (1) a video interview where you answer 3 questions and record yourself, (2) a phone screen + writing sample, (3) an HR interview, and (4) an interview with the sales team you would potentially join. I made it to the phone screen and writing sample stage. The phone screen was less of an interview and more just double-checking you meet the qualifications (i.e where did you go to school, can you drive, etc.). I also spent a few hours working on the writing sample to make sure it was polished. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back from the hiring manager that conducted the phone screen. I sent a few emails over the course of a month and a half, asking for an update (the process had been incredibly slow (two weeks to get to video interview, one month to get to phone screen), so I assumed this stage would be as well). None of my emails asking for an update were replied to, even when I mentioned that I had another offer restricting my timeline. Eventually, about 2 months after my phone screen, I received an automated email from the company that I did not receive the position. Normally, I would not care about ghosting from a hiring department, except in this case, when I have submitted a a writing sample and already conducted two separate interviews that I also took the time to prepare for. It is unprofessional and hurtful. Just be prepared for long waits between stages of the interview and the potential to not receive a reply. I will say the other people at the company that I spoke too were incredibly helpful, so it might just be a few bad apples in the bunch!
- -Why do you want to work a job like this one? -What skills experiences do you have that will make you successful"

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ethicon
I was notified that I was moving to the screening phase and a recruiter was going to reach out. I didn't hear anything for a month until I reached out to the recruiter personally and I was immediately received a rejection from another recruiter.

No technical questions. All very simple behavioral. Was able to get an offer within a week's time. Nice to have other co-ops with you on the call to be able to ask questions about the lifestyle etc.
- How do your values align with J&J?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Cincinnati, OH
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Ethicon (Cincinnati, OH) in May 2022
I applied to Program Manager role, got an email after 2 weeks asking about a Project Manager Role. I check if i made a mistake and i didn’t. I am confused and i check the careers page and sure enough, two roles with the exact same job description. I schedule my first interview with someone ( not sure if this was a hiring manager). On the teams interview, she starts right away ( without any introductions whatsoever) asks me why i applied to a Project Manager role (My current job title is program manager which in theory would mean this is a move downward). I proceed to tell her i didn’t apply to the proj Mgr role and that was something i wanted to get clarification. Instantly tells me thats something i need to take up with HR (I don’t work there yet, what HR am I going to take this to ). Proceeds to ask me questions about my resume and i start explaining. Seems to be asking tough questions, but every 3 minutes or so proceeds to hint that i am making stuff up and telling me ‘I don’t understand it that way’ and tells me how she understands it (not all of it is accurate, but whatever). Felt like the answers needed to come out of PMBOK and anything short was a miss. i don’t really expect to hear from them to be honest (for either the project or program Manager role)
- What kind of projects have you managed ?
- How do you handle scope change?

The process was very smooth and heartwarming. Wasn't very intimidating and was kept friendly throughout. This helped ease a lot of pressure and allow my to process my thoughts better.
- A lot about your strengths and weaknesses and some experiences and interests.
