Interview
The interviewer was overall nice but the process to get to that point, and hear back afterwards, was hell. 1: After getting an email to confirm time that needs to be replied to so the interviewer knows you're set, got stood up when the interview came. 2: Despite emailing several times asking if something was wrong, there was no response. Needed to send yet another another email a few days later to get a response. 3: After finally getting a response I say I'm open to interviewing sometime again if that works better. I hear nothing until almost a week later getting another "Confirm interview time" email without having had really any input beforehand. 4: Finally get to the interview and I'm told I'll hear back early next week, probably Monday. I don't hear back by Thursday and have to email just to figure out I didn't get the job. (sure fine, but if you say "you'll hear back by ____" and ghost someone you said would hear back and is now expecting it is just rude).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
what is your experience importing assets into Unreal Engine
LONG, 5 rounds of interviews (45 mins approx each). Generic questions such as 'tell me about yourself, tell me about a time, why do you want this role, working with teams, cross collaboration, working in different time zone questions'. The HR and Hiring Manager were great, not so much upper level interviewers. They really only hire those who have experience, even for entry level, so you def won't get hired without at least 2 years or so Full Time experience.
