      Account Supervisor Interview

      25 Mar 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Edelman in Sept 2014

      Interview

I was contacted by someone in HR and scheduled a 30 minute phone call to review my background and the position. The recruiter was incredibly engaging, and asked standard behavioral questions about my experiences and motivations behind interviewing. That afternoon I was contacted to schedule another call with the hiring manager in a few days. The hiring manager interview could not have been more different. He was uninterested and very short with me. I'm not sure if something was going on and he was in the middle of a client crisis, or if they had already found someone to fill the position, but the phone call lasted 15 minutes (was supposed to last 30), and he didn't provide time for me to ask 1 question. He ended the call abruptly by asking for writing samples, which I promptly provided 4 of and never heard back. I followed up a week later, and again with the recruiter a few after that, and never heard back ANYTHING. I guess I didn't have the background or experience they were looking for, but it seemed very unprofessional.
