      Enterprise Account Executive Interview

      31 Jan 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Duo Security (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Horrible process & recruiting experience. Came onsite and met with entire team, they had nothing but positive feedback in person. - From there the recruiter went dark, in my attempt to follow up I was dragged on for another 3 weeks to then hear they were waiting for a quarter with no new additional insight or feedback. The recruiting team was completely unprofessional, follow-up was particularly concerning and the leader team should give real feedback in person.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that it was not the experience that both you I were hoping for throughout your interview process. Specifically, I want to apologize for the experience you had with my recruitment team and the ambiguity you felt throughout the process. The beginning of the year can be quite hectic trying to finalize hiring plans, which I'm sure had something to do with this, however, that doesn't justify your experience. I welcome you to reach out directly to me (Nate@Duo.com), to go into further detail so I can fully understand how to coach my team better to avoid this kind of experience moving forward. Thank you again for your time, and we wish you all the best moving forward!

      Interview

Just looking for a mercenary rep. You'll be churned and burned in a few years. Not a bad deal if that's what you want, but nothing about growth, culture, and opportunity. They didn't speak well of the company. Seems like they are going through growing pains. Also, I'm not giving out the names of my accounts and my deals. My resume, accomplishments, and work speaks for itself.

      Enterprise Account Executive Interview

      27 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Duo Security in Sept 2018

      Interview

Applied online, received an email from the recruiter either that day or the next to set up a phone screen. Had the phone screen and then moved to the next step with the hiring manager. Pretty standard phone interview with the hiring manager who then said there would be next steps to speak with one of his sales people. Recruiter set that up about 3 or 4 days later. The sales person peppered me with questions regarding which accounts I had, wanted names of all the people I talk to and their titles, what they bought, and why they bought. I realize companies are looking for your active rolodex, but everyone knows there's an NDA with enterprise level accounts, so to ask, and more like demand that information I feel is out of line. I don't like sharing confidential information about customers to other companies. I brought up the issue of NDAs with him, and the next steps I got was an email from the recruiter that the hiring manager and sales rep didn't get a strong enough sense that they had a match based on my experience and the requirements of the role. So, I'll never get to "Join the Most Loved Company in Security" as they put it.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What companies do you have as accounts, who do you talk to, what's their title, and what did they buy from you.
