I applied in-person. I interviewed at Dollar General in Dec 2014
Interview
Two interviews. One with store manager, second with district manager. Basic resume review and typical questions of past work history. Store manager was so busy that the interview was interrupted 3 times. Red flag as we all know this is true of how a company runs, only one person able to make the decisions of a shift, hard work, little down time away from workflow to close an office door and prioritize.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Personal transportation required for daily bank deposits as well as NO call outs-ever-do to sickness. You are to work sick unless you want a write up or already know enough people in the company to find coverage. To be expected as a manager, even non-salary.
I applied online. I interviewed at Dollar General (Newark, OH)
Interview
called in for an interview and then a second interview and was offered a position. after careful consideration i declined the position. It was overall not what i was looking for the workload and the pay did not match for me.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Dollar General (Greer, SC)
Interview
Very easy, not professional. Ask a few general questions and talk about responsibilities. Make sure you have your own vehicle to go to the bank. There are no excused call outs. Then walk you around the store.
Very laid back. Gave a lot of details on the job I was interviewing for. They did a good job of explaining the hours and what shift I would be on most of the time. Very accommodating on interview time slots available.
