The HR rep reached out to me saying I was highly recommended and that I had everything they were looking for and when could I chat with the team. This is a huge international agency so I was a bit taken aback by how eager and excited their HR guy was. After a 30 minute chat with him, I was pushed through to the next round which consisted of a near 2 hr interview with the SVP, Director and associate on the team.
To say they were overly excited to talk to me is an understatement. They were treating me like I was some celebrity and could not wait to talk to me and everything seemed super promising. Because this was over zoom, they all spelled out their email addresses and were again, overly eager that should I have any additional questions to not hesitate and reach out. I was also told by the SVP that if I didn't hear anything by the following Wednesday, to reach out to HR for an update - sounded promising.
I sent my thank you notes plus questions the following morning, to which none of them ever responded to. I sent an email to HR as well with no response and this was over 3 weeks ago at this point.
If I wasn't a fit, then just tell me. I'm a grown adult and can handle the honest feedback, but to ghost candidates is unprofessional.
