Our initial rounds are for 15 mins to assess the role fit. We believe that candidates might possess technical skills but it is also important that there is a role fit and also some fundamental skills as we are remote working company. So, while the candidate might be apt for other places but not might be the right fit for our company and the role at hand. Inital short screenings are prevalent in various companies and reduced time is not a reflection on the candidate's ability. One advice and request for prospective candidates is to come prepared and be able to communicate in a structured manner rather than take 15 mins to repeat what is already mentioned in their CV.
