I applied online. I interviewed at Dandara Living (Aberdeen, Scotland)
Interview
My interview experience with the organisation was generally positive, and I found the process to be well‑structured and transparent. The recruitment journey involves two stages: an initial online interview followed by an in‑person interview if you progress. The first stage is conducted by the Resident Services Manager and the Operations Manager, while the second stage involves the Resident Services Manager and the Regional Manager. This structure gives candidates a clear sense of progression and allows the organisation to explore both operational and strategic fit.
The questions themselves are straightforward, though the second interview is noticeably longer and more detailed. Candidates should be prepared for more in‑depth behavioural and scenario‑based questions, which can be managed effectively by using the STAR method.
A particular highlight of the process was the Resident Services Manager, Jamie Crockett. Jamie is warm, welcoming and highly professional, which helps create a relaxed and supportive interview environment. This made a significant difference to the overall experience and reflects positively on the organisation’s culture.
Though I didn’t get the job and the feedback was that I did extremely well in the interview which is rather confusing. perhaps they felt I was overqualified for the job I don’t know.
Overall, the interview process felt fair, respectful and well‑organised. It provided a clear insight into the role, expectations and team dynamics, and left me with a positive impression of the organisation’s approach to recruitment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I can’t remember the questions asked, but they are easy questions. They are mostly quest about yourself, your work experience and how you handle customers and what you know about the organisation.
Great experience, albeit 4 stage interview process could be streamlined and a little long winded. An exciting time to join this business that appeared to be very people focused and some great schemes in the pipeline
