Got a very unprofessional experience from one of their In-House senior recruiter.
First of, I did not apply for any position at this job and am currently happy working for the company I am employed with. Here's the scenario I faced.
Their in-House technical recruiter emailed me via Linked-IN where I have my skills/experience/credentials public posted back in 04/19 for a Software engineering position. He even mentioned that "Your background looks like you could be a great fit.". I wasn't Interested at all since I am happy with my current job, hence I didn't entertain his message.
Similarly enough, he emailed me again with a similar position 01/2020 stating again that "Your background looks like you could be a great fit.". His second message peaked my curiosity at the company and found out that it is possibly a great company and position to work for, so I replied back saying I am interested please tell me more and included my resume.
He then preceded asking me for SKILLS that I did not broadcast or publish on Linked-in.
Flat out told him that I do not have those specific skills but my skills revolve around those.
this is then what he said
" I don't think you have the system level coding experience that the team is seeking, but I will forward your resume to the hiring manager for review. If the hiring manager reviews your resume and feels that there might be a fit, the hiring manger will reach out to you directly. If the hiring manager doesn't reach out to you that means that there was no interest in your background for this role, but I will hold onto your resume for similar openings as they come up in the future if that's alright."
It felt very unprofessional and borderline unethical to me. So, beware with their recruiters.
I wasted precious family time with him.
