I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Couchbase (Mountain View, CA)
Interview
Had two python programming problems to solve, about 20 minutes each.
A skype interview with Offshore QA Manager.
Then onsite with more Managers, Sr. Dir and VP of QA.
Seems top heavy for such a small company that well into round F of fundings...
The Development, QA and Release process seems pretty convoluted and unclear.
Overall, it seems like they have some mediocre talents there that they are looking to clean house and want someone to come in and do the dirty deed.
Seems the ownership of testing lacks transparency, top heavy with someone there already and can easily scapegoat to you if anything shall happen... Yet, you do not own any components, just in charge of people management?

Question 1

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Couchbase (Bengaluru) in Sept 2019
Interview
Two coding rounds where we need to code online over Skype call with desktop sharing with them. Each round had one coding question followed by one generic question on what test cases we can design for a problem. The interviewers were good - however, I did mistake in second coding round & hence got rejected.
