1 call with the recruiter who was lovely and 1 onsite meeting with a manager. I was 10 mins early and was asked to go wait outside. Then when I came back 1 minute before the interview I was allowed to wait in reception. The manager was late and not in the mood to interview. He was very passive and just looked me up and down as if I didnt belong at this company. There was nothing professional about it and Im so sad I wasted an hour of my life for this interview.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Confluent in May 2021
Interview
Standard interview, HR, Hiring Manager, Peer interview with a technical sales person, and then a prospecting presentation for 1 hour with the hiring manager and the head of commercial, and final.
The new leaders in the org are very MEDDPICC heavy, so make sure to brush up on this for the interview.
For the prospecting presentation, they are looking for people who have a lot of experience with outbound prospecting, so just talk through your process there.
If you interview here, I would highly recommend speaking to a sales rep on the team, as it is clear that the management didn't actually have a good idea of how the team sold and their challenges.
The interview process left a very bad taste in my mouth after one of the final rounds. It felt very antagonizing and I left the interview feeling like I shouldn't have wasted my time preparing as I did not feel respected.

Question 1
Tell me about 1 deal you won. Tell me about one deal you lost. How do you build champion? What are your pipeline expectations, how do you hit them?
