Cloud Imperium Games interview questions

Not an interview but more around the application process. I was asked to provide samples and due to my work having a very wide range, I asked them for any specific tone or genre they’re looking for. “Just anything.” Okay… in that case, I offered to write a personalised piece. “Yeah, okay.” I asked for genre, tone, etc… nothing. It was like pulling teeth- and that was just the application process. Other than that, they were polite, it just seemed they had no idea how to communicate properly.
