The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chipotle (Colorado Springs, CO) in Jun 2011
Interview
I submitted my resume online. After about a week I got an email offering multiple times I could schedule for an interview. They were set up at a Marriott Hotel and had several tables set up, interviewing multiple people at a time. The first thing I noticed about everyone running the interviews was how relaxed and friendly everyone was. I felt comfortable and relaxed immediately. After that interview I was asked to come to another interview in a couple days, in-store. There I met with two managers who showed me around the Chipotle and introduced me to what I would be doing and how everything runs there. After talking to me some more about myself and the job, they set up another interview with a store that particularly needed people at the time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you feel you would be a good choice for this job?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
