I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Ellisville, MO) in Nov 2012
Interview
Unlike most companies, Chipotle conducted an interview that was based on getting to know me personally as opposed to what I would do in hypothetical situations and stuff like that. The process was short and she asked basic questions like what do I do in my free time, how do my parents feel about me getting a job, why do I want to work at Chipotle, etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was a little thrown off guard when she asked me what I knew about Chipotle, but fortunately I did my research and was prepared to answer her with information about Food with Integrity. She was very impressed to learn that I knew so much about the restaurant.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
