Interview
Typical. They did a phone screen with a recruiter followed by a manager phone interview followed by an on-site interview. It was typical for me, although I have never been "group" interviewed before. The manager's phone interview was lengthy.

Question 1
They asked about tool knowledge and whether I had taken any classes to support my career in the recent past. Asked me why I wanted to work there, the usual.
They repeatedly said their decision would be based on "fit" - which is some kind of amorphous quality that they won't define. Additionally, I never apply for jobs I am not qualified for; it's a waste of time. This was a waste of my time, even as I made it all the way through the process.

Interview
There were 3 rounds. First round with manager, decking with DITA admin, third round with Director. Very kind and understanding. Did not ask much technical questions. Mostly asked management questions.
