Something was a little off from my first interaction with the recruiter. He didn't tell me much about the position but asked what I knew about Cengage. Next was the hiring manager interview, which was awful. It appeared as though she had just gotten out of bed on our video call and had her dog roaming around during the interview. She wasn't very personable and lacked professionalism. She seemed miserable to be in her role and didn't sell me on the company or the position. After about three weeks, I followed up several times before getting a rejection email. Anyone interested in applying at Cengage should reconsider. As others have said, their interview process is terrible, and they treat prospective candidates horribly. Avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid this company. I'm glad I was not chosen because I don't want to be as miserable as the hiring manager.
