This process seemed bizarre from the beginning when I applied and it asked me if I was in the top 5% of math and English. High school was more than 20 years away and I wasn't applying for an Engineering job (I graduate in the top 5% but this felt like weeding good candidates out for bad reasoning). Then when I got the invitation to apply it had it as a marketing position I didn't apply for, and when I replied to ask and also just make salary was aligned before going any further they told me it was fine and that they paid a "competitive salary" I was going to not take it further but I did and as someone who has been a hiring manager before I would be so mad if candidates had to go through this. Most high quality candidates will not take this effort if they haven't talked to someone. I completed it with as little effort as possible just out of curiousity only to be told there was an assessment. and it goes on. Whoever is running their HR needs to be fired, because they are completely off base of industry standard and how to recruit tech talent.
