Global Alliances Revenue Operations Manager Interview

      23 Jul 2024

      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Canonical in Jun 2024

      Interview

My experience with Canonical's interview process was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After investing over 10 hours preparing answers, I was ghosted, which is completely unacceptable behavior. The first round was a written interview consisting of over 40 questions, ranging from previous work experience (each question is like writing a small essay) to high school education details (why?). This alone took me at least 8 hours to complete, followed by a 1-hour intellectual test. Before proceeding with the written interview, I requested an informal coffee chat to understand what they were looking for, but the hiring lead refused, citing it was against the process. Despite complying with their extensive and time-consuming requirements, the hiring lead ghosted me after I submitted my answers. I should have heeded the warnings from other candidates. Canonical’s recruiting process is deeply flawed and shows a lack of respect for potential candidates. Given this experience, I seriously doubt their ability to deliver exceptional products or services.
