I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Candyverse Brands in Jul 2023
Interview
- this process was met with red flag after red flag - had 5 interviews for a part-time posititon, one of which was an unpaid day of work - final interview with the CEO was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had. he had no interview questions ready other than to complain about people taking mental health days and ask me how I would handle that (that's an HR nightmare waiting to happen). He said and I quote "I don't understand why people need 'mental health days', how hard can this job be? we work at a candy company" - another interview 'question' with the CEO wasn't a question as much as it was a comment on how employees won't answer calls or emails outside working hours - after a month of interviewing and getting to the final interview they didn't even follow up to let me know what was happening with the position (I had accepted another job offer so I would've turned this one down but the decent thing would be to send some sort of update on the status of my application)

Interview
I participated in three positive interviews with members of the senior leadership team, which led to a job offer. However, subsequent communication attempts on my end were met with radio silence and I was ghosted after being offered the position.

Question 1
How would you deal with marketing a product that sells both online DTC and in the retail space.
Quick zoom calls with a few people. Poor communication and no real followup. Had to nudge for information and ended in a poor email rejection after they showed a lot of enthusiasm.
