I was first reached out to on LinkedIn by Alexia Collins a recruiter from CampusLogic. During this time, I was unemployed with a long list of rejection letters from employers and actively looking for employment. Going into our first phone call I was used to the typical recruiter spiel and was just expecting another rejection. During our first call Alexia seemed surprisingly passionate about the company's culture and overall mission. By the end of the call I found myself pretty excited for the opportunity and a phone interview scheduled. After so many dead-end calls and ghosting from recruiters it was definitely refreshing to speak with a recruiter that seemed to really care about candidates. My first phone interview was scheduled within a week with the hiring manager. The call went very well and was more like an introduction to the team and a dive into the role's responsibilities. Alexia gave my a call the same day to see how the call went and to schedule a technical interview. The technical interview was held over a Zoom call with one of the senior team members. A technical assessment was given to test problem solving skills and basic software development principles such as array functions and data translations. The language and IDE was based on the candidates choice. After the assessment Alexia called to give feedback from the technical assessment and give a timeline of the next steps of getting a team interview scheduled. The team interview (final) was held over Zoom and consisted of a series of different technical and culture questions from each teammate. After the call I spoke with Alexia again regarding other offers I was receiving at the time. She was more than willing to work within my timeline and keep me updated as much as possible. She made it a point to give me an option to choose the position that would be a better fit and would work for me. After having such a good experience with the hiring process I knew which job I was accepting. I'm more than happy with the choice I made to work for CampusLogic. To this day the company has practiced what they've preached and hasn't sold me on anything that they weren't able to deliver.
