I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2014
Interview
Phone interview first, took around half an hour, just basically walked through your resume. Then a quick and simple language test(cuz I applied for a bilingual position) which required you to read a sentence in different languages. Last step was in person interview. Walked through resume again, then followed by a matching question, in the end was the role pay-promoted credit card to the client.
Quick and easy. Was smooth as I knew the manager ( met her at my previous job). Would recommend to apply on careers page. Good company to work for. Ueuej
Really quick. There wasn’t a lot of questions and I was contacted each week. It was quite short and they really needed people. Most of the questions were basic and focused on customer service rather than balancing.
Just asked to do the assessment task and failed me. This has been happening with the CIBC since 2 years despite getting interviews from other banks. I don't know what could be the problem.
