My interview started out with a lady from HR. She was nice enough but I could definitely tell this company was a little unorganized from the beginning. She then gave me the number to contact the GM where I was going to interview. When I got into the interview I knew something was off. The GM was extremely rude to me, and he was not at all professional in the way he spoke to me. I'd understand that a bad first impression could be made if I wasn't dressed properly or if I didn't stand to shake his hand or say yes/no sir....but I did all of that. The first words out of his mouth were, "So how much did HR tell you that you would be on the phone. 50%...well that's a lie...you'll be on the phone about 95% of your day". I've honestly never been so disgusted during an interview and came very close to walking out. He then sent in probably five or so other people that worked at CH Robinson to come in and ask me the very same questions. They were much nicer, but consisted of young guys right out of college. I think I saw maybe two women working in an office of thirty or so people?? I called back two weeks later because I had not received a reply. HR had no idea what was going on in the branch, apparently they had made an offer to someone and they declined it. They finally called me the next day and left a message on my voicemail stating they had decided to move on with other applicants. Overall a very negative experience. Just tell them that you would love more than anything to be on the phone all day long...and you'll get the job.
