A friend referred me to the hiring manager and I was told to submit my resume. I was called a week after submission to fix a date for an interview. The interview went well and i got the result a week later. An offer was made and I accepted. The entire process took about six weeks

A general informal chit-chat about the marine industry, market conditions, mutual associates, with minimal technical queries. Focus seems to be on knowing that you had some prior experience and willing to accept a lower pay compared to major competitors.
