I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing (Seattle, WA) in May 2015
Interview
It begins with calls and then proceeds to interviews in groups and one on ones depending on the manager hiring you (some just get one call and done). It is generally an easy process. Getting linked in with a particular manager is important. The best way to do this is to find Boeing at a career fair or look up a recruiter on linkedIn and find a matching event. Here a bunch of managers will basically "speed date" (their term) with potential interns to determine best fit.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you encountered a problem and how you went about solving it.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing (Seal Beach, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
I originally applied via online. It took a few months before I heard anything. Then I was contacted to complete a more detailed application via email. About a week thereafter I was called to set up a panel-style interview with 4 mangers and an HR representative. I was told the questions would be situational based and to plan accordingly. I did. The strange thing was that a day after the interview, I was told that I had interviewed well and that they would be in touch with me by the end of that week (the interview was on a Tuesday). But unfortunately, 2 weeks later, I received an email stating that I had not been selected, for no other given reason other than a large # of equally desirable applicants. the interview was very rigid/structured and with predetermined set of questions for everyone.
