I was invited in for an interview at one of their plants. The process was pretty standard: a full day of interviews with everyone I would work with, from peers to two levels of management. The day went well enough I thought my chances of an offer were good. The odd thing though was there were two very different views of what the position career track was. All levels of management I spoke with told me this was an Executive development position, and I could expect to advance quickly in the organization as long as I was willing to take international assignments. But when I spoke to my peers, the people in the position currently, they had been there for a decade or more and expected to stay. Ultimately, they shut this particular site down a couple years after my interview, so it's a good thing I didn't get the job.
