Had a phone screening interview, then had a 1:1 interview.
I just have received an email from a hiring manager 4 days after confirming that I made it through to the final interview due to internal hiring and I did not even get informed on the phone but through 'generic' email.
The head of legal and compliance informed me in the interview that the decision will be made whether to hire me or not after the final interview between 2 candidates and I received a call the next day that I have made through the second round of interview and ready for the final interview next week.
However, the date and time was not confirmed yet and promised that they will get back to me ASAP. Instead, they kept ignoring my call as well as an email and I received an email 4 days later that it will no longer be processed because of an internal hire.
The ignorance of time and effort that I put into this interview and breaking the procedure that was promised during the second interview with a 'generic' rejection email has hugely disappointed me, leading me to negative impression of this firm's brand.
This simply showed how this firm and HR team value their employees at Boehringer Ingelheim and I am very glad that I dodged a bullet.
