They reached out to me on LinkedIn to complete an assessment and it was quite time consuming. I applied for an FP&A role so the assessment required me to build 3 financial models using excel. I was thereafter, shortlisted for a 30min online interview and then I heard nothing since. They didn't acknowledge the time and effort put into these assessment as they were very technical and I had spent 2 nights doing it. After reading through other's interview experience, I can see why it is disappointing, I had invested a lot but feels like the team is just sourcing ideas and tools that through this process of hiring. There is also lack of basic communication, I had to follow up after 2 weeks just to find out "Oh management decided not to proceed with you". Considering that so much was invested into the assessment, very bad experience as a whole. Who knows if my work is being used right now in the company.
