The initial process is very cold and not personable at all. After applying, I was sent an assignment by a recruiter that had requested it to be returned within 24 hours. I found the tight timeline a bit weird since the next day was going to be Christmas and no one would be reviewing the assignment. Nonetheless, I returned it within the deadline only to get an email from the recruiter after the holiday saying she couldn't see the attachment. Something about the SmartRecuiters platform they use makes seeing attachments difficult since you're not replying directly to the recruiter. A couple of days later, I got a very generic rejection email not even from the recruiter, with no ability to receive feedback. All in all, the process is very cold and doesn't leave a very good, first impression of the company.
