I applied through university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY) in Dec 2014
Interview
Lots of behavioural interviews. Nothing too terrible. You submit the paper application and then they get back to you to set up an interview. The first interviews are with groups of people and you rotate. It is a full 5 hour long event. Then you do it all over again, but with smaller groups.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at BlackRock (New York, NY) in Jun 2026
Interview
The Hirevue questions were all behavioral, no tell me about yourself or why blackrock. Questions were pretty simple. Prepare a financial news story you are following because they will ask you that.
Hireview is preparation and then one time recording, which is from memory 3 minutes long. There was only 3 questions for me and most of it related to the role instead of purely just asking why blackrock or why this role.
