I had a screening call to be told that there were 1,000 applicants for the role and the impression I got from the internal recruiter was that he didn’t want to speak with me either. No explanation of process or even the purpose of the call. Assumptions were made about me and bias came into play. I gave up on the call. It was a waste of my time which is a shame. I expected better.

Question 1
Focussed question on my last position and not my experience in the entirety.
I applied through university. I interviewed at BlackRock (New Delhi) in Aug 2021
Interview
Interview were good. There were lot of situation-based questions. Though the feedback was not provided and the honest answers were not considered as they needed an answer even if you were not in those situations as questions were asked about.

Question 1
Q: Tell me about yourself
Q: How did you handle a situation in which there were no alternatives
The worst candidate experience I've ever had. I had a 2-hour long interview and during that time they bashed JP Morgan, the interviewer cursed and grilled me with questions. After a phone interview and a 2-hour in-person interview, I still have not received an email rejecting me. The experience was so unprofessional and they brag about their "culture" but if this interview was any indication of the culture... yikes.
