I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Bayer (Reading, England) in Dec 2022
Interview
Standard screening interview by HR.
Then proceeded to a slightly more technical interview with 3 senior RA managers. No technical questions were asked, they were all competency based questions, give an example etc. The questions seemed HR pre-selected and were very complex. Overly complex for this type of role which would have no direct reports.

Question 1
I was asked at least three times why I was interested in the job, with the interviewer stating several times they were only interested in people who were really passionate about the role.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Bayer (Reading, England) in Jan 2022
Interview
Too many interviewers, as interviewing multiple roles at once, so there wasn’t much time for questions from either side due to how long the intros took.
The questions were general managerial/competency questions. At no point did anyone probe into my actual experience. The process was very slow, it took weeks between each stage. In the end I withdrew as had several other competitive offers, and didn’t want to wait around any longer for Bayer. They seemed shocked when I gave the feedback that the process was too slow.
