I submitted my resume to Brain Corporation having read some of the experiences of other Glassdoor users. I built an extremely strong resume that demonstrated experience in almost all areas they were interested in and I was prepared for at least an initial telephone interview. Several days passed with absolutely no response from the company so I started finding contact information for the principals. After seeking them out on their website, twitter, facebook, linked in, and a bevy of other social media channels a week or two passed and I finally received a terse one line, rejection.
Other writers have indicated that they felt that the company really does not know what they're looking for and based on what I've observed with my experience with them, I tend to agree. However, I think there is more to Brain Corporations strategy. They are PhD top heavy with 80% or higher in their work force.
The product they're perpetually about to release is impressive but I think the reality is that they are amassing a brain trust of PhD ML people so that they look attractive to a large entity like Google.
