I applied online. I interviewed at BLAND (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2026
Interview
I was informed that the interview process would consist of four conversation-based behavioral rounds, going through members of the forward deployed engineering team and then finally with the co-founder discussing drive to succeed, clarity of thought, stakeholder management, and prior experience

Process: 4 rounds over 2 weeks — recruiter screen, 2 technical conversations with team leads, and a final founder interview.”
Questions were more about real‑world AI agents and voice systems, past projects, and how I think through open‑ended problems, rather than heavy algorithms.
The founder round was mostly about mission alignment and career goals, with a lot of time spent on why I want to work on agents/voice and what I’m looking for in my first full‑time role

Interview
The interviewer had a dismal internet connection, and kept cutting out, so I'm unsure if they even heard half of what I said. The rest of the interview consisted of vague technical scenarios that lacked details, and time spent badmouthing the culture of a rival AI company.
