I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Autodesk in Dec 2023
Interview
Had a 30 minute call with a recruiter. They asked a couple of common questions (How have you dealt with a difficult problem/communication in the past). After that, they asked about my salary expectations and, upon hearing my answer, proceeded to tell me that I hadn't even worked at a "real" company (like microsoft, IBM, in their words) and they had interviewed people who did and were asking for less money. Then they told me that they had candidates for Software Engineering position (she put a lot of emphasis in the word "engineering") that had Computer Science Degrees that weren't asking for that amount of money. I did my best to be professional and positive and thanked them for their time, but they kept going, saying that with my level of experience and previous employers I couldn't ask for that amount of money. I asked if that was what they were paying in other countries or just in Mexico, and they said just in Mexico.
