I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (Boston, MA) in Mar 2022
Interview
Remote interview. First with manager, then with manager and senior engineer. Then another senior engineer. After that they ghosted me. Never heard back from anyone including the recruiter. I guess I didn't answer their "coding challenge" in the way they wanted.
2 system design, 1 coding, 1 hiring manager.
System design focussed on standard questions (design a room reservation system and a messenger).
The coding interview was very simple.
Hiring manager screen involved digging deeper into the past experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2025
Interview
Recruiter round - HM round - technical screen round.
The process is frustrating and very slow. I had to follow up with the recruiter and a scheduler at every stage.
It took them 2 -3 weeks to get back from each round. After stringing me along for 6 weeks and repeatedly requesting for next steps they rejected me without any feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Usual tech recruiter round and HM questions. Everyone was extremely disorganized and had no clue about the position. They kept saying this is a new position and they're figuring out stuff.
