I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, England) in Mar 2021
Interview
Via HireVue, I was asked a series of behavioural and technical questions about CPU and GPU architecture. I had to record my answers in front of the webcam. There was also a coding challenge to solve with a programming language of our choice.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Can you describe the 5 stages of the CPU pipeline?
Video interview over Hirevue. Primarily technical questions, such as what you did the last time you encountered a bug, as well as a programming challenge, requiring you to explain your solution.
First round is a Hirevue interview which is followed by a call with people representing different sectors at ARM. The call can be quite intimidating because of the number of people but they are very nice. If you know your stuff, you'll be fine.

The interview process was short consisting in an HireVue with a coding challenge and a final 2 hours technical interview with four engineers from different areas of the company. Downs: after being rejected and requesting a detailed feedback of the decision I did not receive any response.

A programming question that consisted in manipulating the bits of a series of chars, required knowledge of bitwise operations.
Thank you for your feedback on this, I am glad that overall you have had a positive experience. I would be happy to find out some more detailed feedback from your Hirevue so if you would like to email us at ecrecruitment@arm.com and I will get that over to you. We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and hope you do apply again in the future.
