3 stage process. Unfortunately following the final stage, I was told by the internal recruitor that the hiring manager and the team would like to consider me for a similar new role which is a slightly more technical. I followed up with the internal recruiter and realised I was lied to, as she kept changing her words, and eventually informed me the role had not been formalised yet, whilst before she mentioned the role details would be provided to me by the end of the week - which is was not. I even followed up 2 months later and was lied to. This is not professional behaviour considering this is AMEX.
