      Flight Attendant Interview

      26 Aug 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2022

      Interview

I applied online when AA opened one day to accept applications early this year. Got an assessment a few days after submitting the application. After 2-3 months, I got an email for a virtual interview. The group was asked one icebreaker question. Just answer the question. Don't need to explain why unless you were told to do so. Smile and Nod. Then each candidate was asked a different behavioral question. Use STAR method and be concise and confident. About a week later, got an email for my f2f interview in Dallas. They flew me in and out of there. Make sure to follow all the instructions (things to bring, what to wear, etc.). During f2f, there is a group activity. Don't dominate the group. Support each other. Listen to each other. Smile. Be engaged. Blend in. Two rounds of a panel interview. Each candidate was asked a different behavioral question similar to the virtual interview questions. Make sure the time is ticking and there is a time limit for the group (which can be found on the big screen in the room). While others are answering, listen and look at the person speaking. Then, there is a presentation about the company. Some people got called to be escorted somewhere, not sure if they made it or not. Then, reach test (I am 5'6'' and wore low pump, had to tippy toe) and jumpseat. Some got called out. Then, each recruiter called one person at a time. I think we were called by the flight time. Then, if you make it this far, you get a one-on-one with a recruiter manager. Why AA, why flight attendant, tell me about yourself. From my experience, I was asked very basic questions, nothing behavioral. Then, got a cjo on the spot. Overall, great/fun experience. For virtual and f2f, please wear a suit (button-up white shirt, a blazer (navy or black), pencil skirt or dress pants. Minimalize your accessories and wear a watch. hair pulled back neatly.
