I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Altezza (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2012
Interview
The screening process was iterative. The first portion was to request a detailed cover letter concerning the particular skills for the position. Then came a detailed questionnaire, asking I again state how the history and skills in my resume fit into this position. This was then followed up with a series of technical screening development exercises in a zip file. If you've had similar problems in the past, they'll be easy enough. Afterwards, there was a phone interview. The coding exercises were reviewed briefly, but the focus was more along the lines of the usual "it says here that you...go into more depth" and a bit of technical drill down when we hit areas of particular interest and overlap.
Very nice, competent and professional people.

Question 1
One of the screening development tests was a data conversion class, of a file no automated process could have ever created without deliberately convoluted coding.
