Interview process took forever. It started with a call from the recruiter in Chicago, then an online skills assessment. This was in early September. About a week later I interviewed with 2 managers at the local office, real basic "scenario" and "what did you do when..." type questions. About 2 weeks after that I had another interview with 2 different managers, basically a rehash of my previous interview. I then sat with an employee in the office to get a feel for the job, then interviewed with the office manager for about 45 minutes. This was on a Friday, and I was told to expect an answer within a week. Three weeks went by with no contact whatsoever, so I called the recruitment office in Chicago. I was told to expect a decision within a few days. Another 3 weeks went by without a word (keep in mind I initally interviewed in early September, by this point it's mid-November). I got a call offering me the position, at more money than I was intitally expecting (39K to start). However, I had already committed to another position and declined the offer. I would really have liked to begin a career with Allstate, but the way that they drug their feet on the hiring process was a real turn-off.
