It was super laid back. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. The manager asked very general interview questions: “how have you resolved a situation in the past”, “Why did you like working at this particular job”, “What sets you apart from everyone else” type questions. And then he told me a little bit about the job. After the initial interview I waited a few days and then followed up and was invited to a second interview. This interview was with the same manager as before, and the CSR I was replacing. He asked the same questions as before and then the CSR told me a more in depth view of the job responsibilities. After about 30 minutes the interview was over. As soon as I got him I shot them another follow up email and received a reply requesting me to come in and talk to HR. I went in for a drug test and then they had me interview with the Cole Group for background. Check. It took them about 6 business days to get everything back. I just signed the offer letter. 2,000 base pay a month with lots of opportunity for commission and bonuses. Sales are not a requirement but are highly encouraged.
If you are going to apply for a job at Allstate, always send follow ups! The follow up emails that I sent are ultimately what set me apart from everyone else. They want to see that you aren’t afraid to reach out to people. You’ll be doing the same thing in your job!
