I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Airbnb (San Francisco, CA) in May 2015
Interview
Everyone was extremely welcoming. The process was far less formal than other places I had been interviewing which allowed me to really be myself. I found myself actually enjoying being interviewed.
I had 2 rounds of interviews. Each lasted about 3 hours, but the time flew by. It took a couple of months to finally get an offer, but I was beyond excited when I did.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about a lot of hypothetical situations that could happen while scheduling and hosting candidates.
They were very kind and thorough. Very focused on company values. The downside is they ghosted me after two interviews, which was a bummer since I was excited about the position.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Airbnb (New York, NY) in Jan 2021
Interview
It felt very forced as if they were just going through the motions. I felt like there was likely someone already being considered and the interview was a formality or an exercise that wasn't expected to result in an offer.

Question 1
Name a difficult time when you had to deliver bad news?
They reached out for me to complete their video interview. I didn't make it past the video interview round. The interview was confusing as it showed the question and then gave you about 15 seconds to think before responding.
