I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Airbnb (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2019
Interview
For a company that never fails to emphasize their mission of "belonging" and being a host, it was disappointing. They were super fast with responding and were such good hosts up until they decided not to move forward with me. I made it to the last interview which was two cultural assessments. Based off the other reviews, I thought it would be fun as it should be more casual and more like a get to know you. I can't say that was what I experienced. One of my interviewers was evidently impatient and uninterested with an underlying rude tone when asking me to clarify on my answers. It was shocking and ironic since it's a cultural fit interview. That alone left a really bad taste in my mouth.
I didn't expect to get an offer. A week later, the recruiter nicely reached out to me to let me know I was still under consideration. I followed up a week later and was told I'd get a call from the team about it. The next day I got an automated rejection letter. A few days later, I got a personal letter from the manager requesting to schedule a phone call. That phone call never happened and that manager never responded to me. Sounds like it was a little disorganized and there was miscommunications but it would have helped if they owned up to it instead of just ghosting.
Overall, they're great when they want you but once they decide not to move forward, that hospitality completely disappears and I think that says a lot.
Went into the pdx office for an in person interview. Was given a tour and was asked to meet with a culture ambassador. Which I thought was weird. The interviewer asked me a lot of different questions and I answered the best I could at the end. He said that he felt like he didn’t really know me personally and in my mind, I thought to myself well maybe you should’ve asked me questions that would help you answer that thought of how can I get to know this guy better personally.

Question 1
I was asked multiple question regarding my approach to recruiting and achievements. But then the interviewer told me they felt they didn’t know me. It was very weird.
All interview rounds were smooth and well-informed. Everyone was clear on what they were looking for, and I had fun speaking with them. Got to know more about the company, 2 rounds of core values
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Airbnb (Bengaluru) in Oct 2024
Interview
Recruiter screen, followed by 2 rounds of interviews with senior folks in recruiting. Fully remote role hence online interviews. Interviews were scheduled fairly soon but the feedback took forever to come through. Recruiting coordinator was very weird and rude throughout the process. Was an entitled coordinator by the looks of it. Had no idea about the interview rounds or process.
