I would say that it was not a standard situation as per I worked for the company (not this staffing agency but the company I wanted to get into). It was about 8 months since I work at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage hired thru a much more scrutinized staffing agency. I search for them on yellow pages and called right away to set up an interview. I knew they hired for Wells Fargo home mortgage centralized and was ready to get back in. We had a brief phone interview, followed up with cover letter and references.
Then I came in for a one-on-one interview (with in a few days). The gal was very professional but down to earth, didn’t remember to many complex questions. I gave a copy of my resume and then they needed me to send to them another copy of my resume.
I called in a few days later to firm of the details of the job as per I was unsure of what I would be doing, job title details. I needed to know as another agency offered me a job at the same company but a different position w a bit lower pay. I would say that I had to be persistent and would have like to know if the background check came in and not have me waiting if I was approved/OK. Also I wanted a detailed description of the job duties or position which I did not get.
I took my chances declined the first job w staffing agency after I knew I was for sure in. It’s been 3 weeks and I know I’m right where I need to be right now.
