The interview process was very professional and thorough, as it included a criminal, background and educational check. The information I was given before accepting the position was misleading. I was told the position was a temp-to-hire position and if my performance at the 6 month mark was at or above standards I would be hired. I was not told that I had no sick time or vacation pay as a temp-to-hire. If I would have taken the position as a temporary contractor I would have had paid time off for illness or personal use. At the 6 month mark, my performance was above expectations and when I asked HR at the company about the hiring process as a temp-to-hire, the HR representative became very confused since the company had a policy prohibitting temp-to-hire situations.
